Jupiter is a gas giant planet, with several moons. Violent storms cover the surface. Due to its massive size, Jupiter's gravity well is exceedingly strong.
The colony at Jupiter, reside in floating cities, drifting above the tops of the planet's gaseous cloud cover. The colonizing race, known as the Jupiterians, mine the gas clouds for energy production, and for use in explosive technologies.
